About Me:

Introduction: A Journey Through the Evolving Landscape of Connectivity

My career has been a dynamic exploration of the telecommunications and technology sectors, a journey that has mirrored the rapid evolution of digital connectivity itself. From the foundational days of Lucent Technologies, where I delved into the intricacies of NavisCore NMS, MIBs, and RFCs, to the cutting-edge frontiers of AI-driven 5G and 6G, I've had the privilege of witnessing and contributing to transformative changes.

My early experiences at Lucent provided a deep understanding of the core infrastructure of telecommunications. I worked on critical projects like the USA Project, Ascent ATM/FR switches, DWDMs, and Optical core WDM, gaining invaluable insights into the complexities of network management and optical technologies. I also worked on eCell DSLAMs and Switches, and EMS for switches, as well as developing custom MIBs and RFCs, and OPterna Fiber Sentinel systems. This foundation was instrumental in navigating the challenges of emerging technologies.

At Verizon, my focus shifted towards the business side of telecommunications. I was involved in the development of Verizon's first modern ordering applications based on Java/J2EE, pricing, contracting, and tariff systems, and contract management systems like CxPrice, CxOrder, eCMS, and E-Sign. The year 2003 marked a turning point, as I played a key role in integrating over 64 enterprise products and services from the Verizon MCI merger into a unified CRM system, one of the world's largest telecom enterprise CRM systems, facilitating billions of dollars in annual transactions. This experience honed my skills in enterprise architecture, data modeling, and large-scale systems integration, including Siebel to Salesforce migrations and Oracle Goldengate replication. I led billion-dollar transformation projects, navigating migrations and addressing complex challenges.

My time at IBM further broadened my technological horizons, as I explored the realm of AI and cloud computing. I worked on AIOps, AWS, Sagemaker, and MLOps, and was involved in the Terremark acquisition and data center integration, as well as the transition to AWS and the implementation of VMware and OpenStack orchestration. I gained expertise in NFV, VNFs (Cisco, Avaya), call center solutions, and managed services for SOCs and NOCs. I had the privilege of working on large enterprise integration projects for clients such as AHOLD, Walmart, J&J, and Citibank. I also worked on OSS integration for IVAPP for FTTP, and a first prototype CEM migration from Ubuntu/C++ to Java/JEE, then to Python/Go/Microservices. I worked on catalog integrations, managed SOCs, and implemented ITIL and Six Sigma methodologies. My experience extended to big data architecture (TM Forum), data monetization use cases, and the development of IEEE model-to-model interconnection standards and FSS MIBs.

More recently, I have worked with Nokia EdenNet SON, and major telecom companies like TalkTalk UK, Orange France, Orange Romania, Zain KSA, BSNL, and Bharti Airtel India. I have focused on 3G, 4G, small cells, Femto, and Pico cells, cell plan integrations, self-healing networks, anomalies, ANR, KPIs, CCOs, call drops, Cognitive SON, and the ELK stack for integrated monitoring and log dashboards. My experience with T-Mobile USA has involved deployment automation, containerized solutions, DevSecOps, and hybrid cloud implementations. I have also worked with Telstra Australia, microservices, data pipelines, Python Celery IoT networks, OpenStack, VMware infrastructure, blade servers, IoT networks, and Helium Lora/IoT blockchain and HNT tokens. I have tackled challenges like tracking missing items (children and dogs) and pollution tracking, and developed gateway and UI solutions using big data cloud and Redis in-memory databases.

My current focus is on AI/ML use cases, including LLMs, Telecom LLMs, AWS Bedrock, and IBM tools. This journey has equipped me with a unique perspective on the convergence of telecommunications, AI, and cloud technologies. I hope to share my insights and experiences to help others navigate the complexities of this rapidly evolving landscape.
